Man’s body found near golf course

JERSEY CITY — A golfer on the Hudson County golf course near Lincoln Park reported seeing a body floating near shore in the Hackensack River on April 14.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office’s homicide unit assisted by the New Jersey State Police and Jersey City Police recovered the body.
A spokesperson for Jersey City said the matter is being handled by the prosecutor’s office.
“No positive ID yet,” said Gene Rubino, executive assistant prosecutor. “It is the body of a male believed to be in his 30s. No indication of foul play so far. The post-mortem examination results are pending.”
