Funeral services were held March 26 at Metropolitan AME Zion Church, Jersey City, for Marvin Phoenix of Jersey City. He passed away March 17. He was the father of Gregory and Valerie Phoenix, Andrea Phoenix-Bryant and Sylvia McKenney-Simms; brother of Verlinda Phoenix-Willis and Mearlease Phoenix-Gilyard. grandfather of four, great grandfather of nine, and also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
