BAYONNE — The Bayonne Bridge will close from 9 p.m. Friday, April 1 through 8 a.m. Sunday, April 3, to accommodate ongoing construction work on the bridge project. The closing was scheduled in conjunction with other regional agencies to minimize traffic impacts.
During the week, the bridge is closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and overnight from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. On certain weekdays the Bayonne Bridge will open a half-hour earlier – at 4:30 a.m. – to provide an alternate route for drivers affected by 4:30 a.m. to 5 a.m. traffic holds on the Goethals Bridge.
