BAYONNE — The Bayonne Bridge will remain open this weekend, and will suspend construction work on the “Raise the Roadway” project to accommodate travelers during Easter weekend.
The bridge is open all day today (Friday, March 25) and will remain open through 9 a.m. Monday, March 28.
During the week, the bridge is closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and overnight from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. On certain weekdays the Bayonne Bridge will open a half hour earlier – at 4:30 a.m. – to provide an alternate route for drivers affected by 4:30 a.m. to 5 a.m. traffic holds on the Goethals Bridge.
