To the Editor:
The 56th Street Senior Center was jumping on March 10. Music was provided by the Bayonne Senior Orchestra (June, Steve, Tony, Frank, Nimo), as well as sing-along songs, at this early St. Patrick’s Day party. Ralph Salvo was encouraged to sing “Danny Boy,” and his heartfelt performance brought tears to many an eye, as well as a sustained round of applause.
Mayor James Davis stopped by to offer his best wishes and even enjoyed a little dancing. Tony, owner of Prima Pizza, donated the delicious pizza and soft drinks that were served to the group.
A special Thank you is extended to all who enabled us to enjoy this celebration, which has been held at the 56th Street Senior Center for so many years.
