It’s still anybody’s race to win as the JCC of Bayonne Indoor Soccer Sr. Division enters week three. Coming in at (0-2), the Sonics faced the (2-1) Rockets in hopes of picking up their first victory. The Rockets got out to a strong start as Kyle O’Hara and Aaliyana Cifuentes blasted in goals with Alejandro Cifuentes and Nicholas DePinto on the assists. Down 2-0, the Sonics got on the board as Jacob Kowal sailed a pass to Harsh Easwar who made it 2-1 with a scoring dart. Locked in a defensive donnybrook, both squads kept the sharpshooters at bay for the next twenty minutes. Hoping to refuel their offense, the Sonics shifted gears by sending Dylan Subacz and Kasper Hooks on the attack but after three shots off the post, the Rockets turned the tide. With the Sonics focused on offense, the Rockets took advantage as Aaliyana Cifuentes assisted Kyle O’Hara on two game sealing goals as the Rockets prevailed 4-1.
