Dear Editor:
Al Sullivan characterized Mayor Zimmer’s recent acceptance of a modified plan for Washington Street as “backstepping;” “a new spin;” and being “forced” and “pushed.” Frankly, I don’t see it that way.
In this era of my-way-or-no-way politics, it’s genuinely refreshing to see compromise and agreement win out over obstinance and acrimony in government. I look forward to seeing our council and mayor continue to work closely to reflect the voice of Hoboken residents and for the betterment of our city.
