55, passed away on February 24, 2016 with his family by his side. Born in Jersey City, he was a lifelong Bayonne resident. He was a service manager for S&S Refrigeration for 33 years. John enjoyed his volunteer work as a youth sports coach, coaching the Bayonne Breakers Girls’ Travel Team and at the St. Mary, Star of the Sea Pee Wee Basketball League. He also coached for the Bayonne P.A.L. and Bayonne Little League and was a member of the Holy Family Academy Fathers’ Club. John is survived by his wife, Maryann Bruno (nee: Olencewicz); his children, Christina Karulski, and her husband, Christopher, Maria Bruno, and Dominick John (DJ) Bruno, and his fiance, Katelyn Bader; his grandson, Cody John Karulski; his sister, Petrina Watkins; his mother-in-law, Donna Olencewicz; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Maximus. He was predeceased by his parents, Rose (nee: Cascio) and Dominick Bruno. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Madeline LoRe Foundation, 142-A Lefante Way, Bayonne, NJ 07002.
