New Jersey Devils, Martin Brodeur help launch sports photo contest

On the eve of his No. 30 jersey retirement ceremony at Prudential Center, legendary goaltender Martin Brodeur, along with the New Jersey Devils, the City of Jersey City, the Jersey City School District, and partner Panasonic, will launch a new sports photography program at Jersey City’s Snyder High School in honor of his late father, Denis Brodeur, a renowned hockey photographer with the Montreal Canadiens. Immediately following the press conference, Brodeur, Devils alumni and staff, and coaches from USA Hockey will conduct a Learn to Skate clinic with Jersey City youth as an introduction to a new program called Hockey in New Jersey. The event will take start around 12:30 p.m. at the Charlie Heger Ice Rink, 807 Summit Ave. on Feb. 8.
