Dear Editor:
We know that griping and moaning is an art form in Hoboken, but I am writing this letter as a shout out to the hard working employees of the Dept. of Environmental Services who heavy lifted us out of the Blizzard of 2016. Hoboken got sucker punched with 30” of snow and the DoES said, ’Is that all ya got?’, and then proceeded to get every road open by Sunday evening (including keeping some open through the blizzard – unbelievable) – and then ask how many days of scheduled garbage collections DoES missed through this…go ahead ask. Zero. Bada-bing indeed.
Now if the Board of Education could get 1 percent of the DoES toughness we might be getting somewhere. Keep up the great work and thanks.
