JERSEY CITY — What would you give for a view of downtown Manhattan like this one (click photos to see them in larger size)? Last month, when Patrick Southern of the Properties by Southern at Liberty Realty found out the owner wanted to list it, he flew from New York to Toronto to meet him and talk about the sale. Within 21 days, it was sold for $2 million. This is a penthouse condominium at Crystal Point, located at 2 Second Street, Jersey City. This 1,385 square foot, 41st floor, 2-bedroom, 2.5 bath penthouse, 25 feet off the Hudson River, sold for $1,455 per square foot.
Southern’s office is now situated in the Liberty Realty Corporate Center in Hoboken but he maintains an especially close eye on the Jersey City and Hoboken markets.
