88, passed away on December 22, 2015 at her Bayonne residence surrounded by her family. She retired in 1994 after 25 years of service as a crossing guard for the City of Bayonne. Irene was predeceased by her husband Anthony in 1997, her daughter Arlene O’Donnell in 2002, her parents, Anthony and Bertha (Szaro) Zalewski, two sisters, Helen Kazimar and Anne Pirkowski, and one brother, Anthony Zalewski. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Christine Green and her husband John and Marie Jedziniak and her husband Henry, her two sons, Gerard and his wife Barbara and Michael and his wife Lori, her son-in-law Mark O’Donnell; one sister, Claire Krzykowski, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
