A funeral mass was celebrated Dec. 23 at St. Paul of the Cross Church for Maria “Mary” G. Trench, 85, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Dec. 19. Mary loved cooking and baking and always put others before herself. She retired from P.S. 28 after 20 years of working. She was the wife of the late Francis “Frank” Trench; mother of Maria Trench, Theresa Trench, Michele Trench and Danny Churpakovich, Gina and husband Dave Evans, and her “Grand-dog” Trixie; Nana of Christine Donelson and husband Everett, Stephen Evans and also great grandmother of Victoria Donelson; sister of Jennie Egizi and the late Michael and Thomas Macagnano and Sadie Finizio. Mary also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Riotto Funeral Home, Jersey City.
