Funeral services took place Dec. 18 for Janet Brinkerhoff Afifi, 74, of North Bergen. She passed away Dec. 15 at home. She was a retired teachers’ aide for the Union City Board of Education. She was the wife of Hendawi Afifi and the late Robert Brinkerhoff; mother of James, Cindy, Donna, Darren, David, Kristen, and the late Robert Brinkerhoff; sister of Barbara Bey, Thomas, Richard and the late George Jandik; grandmother of 11 grand and three great grandchildren. Services arranged by the Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.
