93, passed away on December 14, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her family. Kay was born in New York City where she lived for 20 years, she then moved to Jersey City where she resided for 18 years, and then came to settle in Bayonne for the remainder of her life. She worked as a Book keeper for Domenico Tours for over 25 years. She was a member of the Irish American League-where she received the Irish Woman of the Year Award in 1996. She was a member of the St. Henry’s Rosary Society, Mayor Richard Rutkowski Association, and was a longtime member/officer of the Marist Mothers Club. Wife of the late Thomas J. Ruane. Mother of Thomas Ruane (Eileen), Gerard Ruane (Betty Anne), Terry Ruane (Marie), Brian Ruane (Theresa), Maureen Ruane (Michael McGlynn), and Dennis Ruane (Lynn). Grandmother of Gerard, Dennis, Courtney, Travis, Erin, Thomas, Conor, Kevin, Brian, Terence, Nora, Taryn, Johnny, Kerrie, Lauren and Allison. Great-Grandmother of Vance and Porter. Sister of the late Helen McMahon, Peggy Comerford, and John Cunningham. Loving Aunt of Janet Dann and Diane Marshall. She is also survived by her caregivers Ann Petrilla and Lucy Plata.
