85, was born July 16, 1930 in Jersey City and later moved to Bayonne where he lived for over 40 years. He passed away at Jersey City Medical Center/Saint Barnabus Hospital ICU on December 18 surrounded by his family. He was married to Joan M. Robinson (Diehl) for 63 years. James was a United States Army Veteran who served two tours. James worked as the operations manager for Sealand and terminal manager for Callahan Trucking. James was predeceased by his father James Robinson, his mother Clara Winters and father Renville Winters. Father of James Robinson and his wife Irene, Susan Robinson Ottino and her husband Kevin, Michael Robinson and his wife AnnMarie and the late Martin Renville Robinson. Grandfather of Stefanie Robinson, PhD and her wife Abigail Gregor, James Robinson and girlfriend Elise Innocenti, Mark Robinson, Spencer-Morgan and her husband Michael Kubert, Mitchel Robinson, Lindsey Robinson and her fiance Tom Warren, and Bayonne Police Officer Kevin Ottino. He will be missed by his great grandchildren Mackenzie Elizabeth and Michael Vincent Martin Kubert as well as baby Gregor-Robinson due this month. James is also survived by his sister Claire Ford, wife of the late Frank Ford. He has many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
