Weehawken senior citizens got to make their own flower centerpiece to help celebrate Thanksgiving Day courtesy of Mayor Richard F. Turner and the Township Council.
The township Recreation Department held the flower design class for seniors on Nov. 24 at the Senior Center.
Simon Finkelstein taught the seniors the basics of arranging a fall centerpiece and shared his professional expertise, while assisting each attendee in making their own creation.
When the class was over, each senior had their own hand-made centerpiece to take home.
