Redwings football team to hold ‘victory parade’ after clinching state championship

HOBOKEN – Fresh from their 10th NJSIAA State Championship victory on Saturday, Dec. 5, the Hoboken High School Redwings football team invite the public to join them as they march down Washington St. on Wednesday, Dec. 23.

The Redwings beat out the undefeated Brearley Bears of Kenilworth, 34-12, at Kean University to win the Group I North II Championship. The team, led by Coach Lou Taglieri and his staff, will be honored in the parade.

“Congratulations to Coach Taglieri and the entire Redwings team on their tenth State Championship!” said Mayor Dawn Zimmer in a statement. “We’re so proud of them and we invite the entire community to come out and celebrate their tremendous achievement.”
