At (6-3) the Colts find themselves in a first place duel with the (5-3) Bears as they locked horns in a JCC of Bayonne Indoor Flag Football Jr. Division week 7 scuffle. Playing at a rapid pace, the Colts and Bears raced up and down the court as the points mounted with Aaliyana Cifuentes (6 TDs, 6 expts) and Brenden McCall (1 TD, 4 expts) doing the heavy lifting for the Colts while the Bears outpaced the Colts as Dylan Subacz (7 TDs, 6 expts), Adonis White (1 TD, 4 expts) and Anthony Fraser (1 TD, 2 expts) fueled the Bears’ offense. With 118 points in total, one might think both the Colts and Bears forgot how to play defense but while the Bears held on for a 66 – 52 win it was two key defensive stops by the Colts’ David Matos and the Bears’ Anthony Fraser that kept the bout up for grabs until the final whistle.
