72, of New Ringgold, PA, and formerly of Bayonne, died in the Hometown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the partner of Regina Krawczyk for 21 years. Prior to retiring, he was a police officer for 25 years with the Bayonne Police Department. Born in Jersey City, he was a son of the late Elisha and Irene (nee: Timmreck) Ward. He was a Navy veteran who served upon the USS Skywatcher, where he met President Kennedy. He was a member of the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club, New Tripoli and the American Legion, Bayonne. He was preceded in death by a brother James. Surviving in addition to his partner Regina, are two sons, Jason and his wife Lisa of Kearny, and Jonathan and his wife Jessica of Temecula, CA; a daughter Jessica, wife of David Nash, Roselle Park; brother Gerald Ward, Bayonne; sister Helen Geis, Lakewood; five grandchildren, Ryan, Caleb and Madison Ward, David and James Nash, and two nieces.
