Subacz Stupendous As Bears Win

With their first victory of the season under their belts, the (1-5) Jets were a confident bunch as they took on the (3-2) Bears in a JCC of Bayonne indoor flag football Jr Division bout. Locked in a seesaw scoring tussle both squads battled to a 22-22 halftime tie as the Jets’ Chase Cohen (2 TD’s), Jack Kruchkowski (1TD, 2expts) and Anthony Baez (2expts) kept pace with the Bears as Dylan Subacz racked up all 22points for his team. The game took a drastic twist when the Bears’ Adonis White hauled in an interception at half court. One play later, the Bears made it 28-22 on a 25yard TD gallop by Adonis White. Not to be out done, the Jets answered as Chase Cohen raced 40 yards to paydirt to make it 28 all. With a chance to take a two point advantage, the Jets fell prey to a heads-up defensive play by the Bears’ Dylan Subacz who picked off two point attempt and sprinted goal to goal to put the Bears up 30-28. After a defensive stand the Jets regained the lead at 34-30 as Kruchkowski latched on to his 2nd TD toss. With the time running out, the Bears’ Dylan Subacz finally ended the drama with a TD and a two point snare to seal the Bears’ 38-34 victory.
