A funeral mass was offered Nov. 25 at St. Nicholas Church, Jersey City, for Mary M. Murtha, a longtime resident of Jersey City. She passed away Nov. 10 at the Bridgeway Care Center, Bridgewater. Mary was employed as a secretary to John V. Kenny, the former mayor of Jersey City and leader of the Hudson County Democratic Party. She was also secretary to Paul Hanley, director of Pollak Hospital and subsequently, a supervisor in the Hudson County Judicial System.
Mary is survived by her first cousin, Robert J. Dittmar and his wife Mary Louise, of Bridgewater; and her second cousins, Mary Jane Meschino of Holtsville, N.Y. and Steven Londregan of Howell. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
