Subacz Super as Bears down Jets

After two well contested bouts in week one of the JCC of Bayonne Jr. Division Indoor Flag Football, the (0-1) Jets took on the (1-0) Bears as they entered into week two. The Jets got things rolling as Jack Kruchkowski reeled in a 20 yard TD strike. Down 6-0, the Bears countered with a TD toss to Anthony Fraser to tie the bout at 6-6. Using play action, the Bears caught the Jets’ defense napping as Chase Cohen sprinted under a 40 yard TD bomb to put the Jets ahead 12-6. Three plays later, the Bears answered as Adonis White rumbled 15 yards to paydirt before Dylan Subacz’s point after grab made it 14-12, Bears. Staying with their surehanded playmaker, the Jets regained the lead at 18-14 as Jack Kruchkowski hauled in a diving TD catch. After a number of near misses, the Bears finally connected on a wire to wire scoring gem as Dylan Subacz torched the Jets free safety to give the Bears a 20-18 lead. Going back to “Mr. Reliable”, the Jets clawed back into the lead as Kruchkowskis’ third TD reception made it 24-20, Jets. The nose to nose brawl stayed heated as the Bears responded with a 25 yard TD dash by Dylan Subacz as the Bears pulled ahead at 26-24. With 2:04 remaining, the Jets went on the march with Anthony Baez hanging on to a key first down snare. Setup in Bears territory, the Jets took a 30-26 lead on another diving TD catch by Kruchkowski. With two timeouts at their disposal, the Bears pounded up court with their running attack. At the 20 second mark, the Bears cashed in as Dylan Subacz turned a swing pass into six points followed by his game clinching P.A.T. run as the Bears captured a 34-30 victory.
