A funeral mass was celebrated Nov. 5 at Saint Ann’s Roman Catholic Church for Alfred Fields, 81. He passed away peacefully Nov. 2 at his home in Hoboken surrounded by his family. Alfred was born and raised in Manhattan. After marrying Harriette Mary Baker, they raised their family in Astoria and then Whitestone, Queens. For the past six years he has lived in Hoboken. He is the co-founder of Daybreak Express, based in Newark.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Harriette; his three sons, Clifford (Angela), Scott (Ann Marie) and Kenneth (Josefina); his ten grandchildren, Nicole, Stephanie (Kristofer Carilli), Sarah, Robert, Ashley, Kenny, Brian, Matthew, Henry and Esme; one sister, Eleanor Gianfelice; many nieces and nephews, and his dog, Bella. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Violet Fields; one sister and four brothers; and his son Alfred M. Fields. Services arranged by the Lawton-Turso Funeral Home, Hoboken
