Free blood lead testing in Bayonne on Sept. 23

BAYONNE – Free blood lead screenings will be available at Bayonne City Hall, in the Council Chambers, on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Only bodily testing is available on this occasion. The process will involve a quick skin prick, and results will be available within a few minutes.
The free screening for lead is the result of a partnership between Bayonne and Jersey City.
It is open to all Hudson County residents, and is being offered at various locations in Bayonne for the convenience of city residents. This is the third screening offered in Bayonne under this partnership.
Funding for the lead screening program has been provided by the Social Service Block Grant Supplemental for Superstorm Sandy Recovery.
