Division of Recreation and US Sports Institute announce Fall Lacrosse registration

The Division of Recreation will team up once again with the US Sports Institute and the Lacrosse camp will is designed for beginners with little or no previous lacrosse experience. Children will learn the fundamental skills and rules of lacrosse. All activities are “non contact” to ensure the safety of all children.
Lacrosse is open to boys and girls and players will be grouped by age, playing ability and skill level. All equipment is provided making this an affordable way for children to learn the game.
Program highlights include stick familiarity, cradling and scooping, running with the ball, throwing and catching, and shooting and dodging.
First Play Lacrosse is a wonderful introduction to the sport, designed for beginner players who have little or no experience in the lacrosse. A great way to learn this popular sport, while having fun!
Ages 5 and 6: September 15 – October 27 from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.; Ages 7 and 8: September 15 – October 27 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.; Ages 9 and 10: September 15 – October 27 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Cost: $125.
Lacrosse will take place at 16th Street Park.
