A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 24 at Saint Mary’s Chapel for Eunice Ryan, 73, a lifelong resident of Union City. She passed away July 21 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Eunice was a daughter of the late Marie and William Sticco. She was a clerk in several departments over the years for Union City. At one point she was secretary to the mayor. After years of pleading, Eunice’s family finally convinced her and her husband to move to the shore to be closer to their family. In October, they moved to Atlantic Highlands and were able to spend more time with their nine granddaughters who meant the world to Eunice. Eunice is survived by her husband of 51 years, Maurice Ryan and their children, son Maurice and his wife Mimi Ryan, of Middletown; son Matthew and his wife Diana Ryan, also of Middletown; daughter, Meridith and her husband Kevin Enny, of Belford. She is also survived by granddaughters Rebecca, Sara, Nicole, Olivia, Veronica, April, Cali, Lillian, and Holly. She was predeceased by her sister Rosalyn.
