Funeral services were held Aug. 2 for Mark V. Carroll, 64. He died July 26 at Jersey City Medical Center. Born in Jersey City, he was a lifelong resident. A graduate of Dickinson High School and the Culinary Art Institute of Hudson County Community College, Jersey City, Mark was a chef. He played bass for the bands Bon Temps and Sidhartha. He was predeceased by his father Vincent Carroll (Ret Capt. FDJC). Surviving are his daughter Markee Carroll; his mother Ruth (Catt) Carroll; his brothers Michael Carroll and his wife Debbie, David Carroll (Ret. FDJC) and his wife Joyce, and Vincent Carroll (Ret. Sgt. Hudson County Corrections); his sisters Sharon Guarini, Kathleen Carroll, Eileen McBride and her husband William and many nieces and nephews.
