See the NJ Symphony Orchestra on the Hoboken waterfront Thursday night

HOBOKEN–Mayor Dawn Zimmer and the city of Hoboken proudly present the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra at Pier A Park on Thursday, June 18 at 7 p.m. Admission is free, and guests are invited to bring a picnic and blanket or low back chair. In case of rain, the concert will be held at the Demarest School, located at 158 Fourth St.
“This event has become a great annual tradition that our community loves, and we are proud to again host this world-class orchestra for a free outdoor concert on our waterfront,” said Zimmer. “As part of Hoboken’s Sinatra Centennial celebration, this year’s event will also include a tribute to Frank Sinatra with a medley of his classics.”
Take a seat on the lawn of Pier A Park and spend a relaxing summer evening outdoors! As night falls, the New York City skyline lights up behind the orchestra, making this a unique and romantic summer symphony concert destination. Hear classical dances from Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Brahms in the first half. Then, rev up for a lively second half when the NJSO plays tunes from swing, Latin, pop and a whole lot more.
Bring the whole family! At 6 p.m., a pre-concert “instrument petting zoo” by Touch the Music provides a hands-on experience for kids to try out different instruments. Enjoy a picnic, bring the kids—and by all means, bring your dancing shoes!
