Person nearly drops air conditioner four stories onto crowded Hoboken street while trying to install it

HOBOKEN — Friday evening, a group of bystanders on a Washington Street corner were completely motionless, all looking up.
A person had an air conditioner in her hands, extending far below her fourth-story unit on Washington Street. She looked ready to drop it.
Somehow, she managed to pull it back in, and there were cheers from below. The person was four stories above a restaurant and above a Washington Street sidewalk.
While stories of air conditioners killing people are rare, there have been cases. It is more common for a falling air conditioner to injure a passerby.
