Born in La Coruna, Spain, Miguel was the husband to Josephine (nee: Senande) Quintela and father to Marisol Pineiro and her husband, Jorge; Michael Quintela Jr. and his wife, Kimberly; and Lisa Quintela. Miguel was also the grandfather to Brianna and Tiffany Piniero; Michael, Morgon and Max Quintela; and to Nyla Daly.
