Dear Editor:
I want to thank our friends and neighbors. Our beloved cat of seven years, Boobie, went missing last weekend. Heartbroken and struggling to explain his disappearance to our two and a half year old daughter, we began a desperate search. We posted flyers in southwest Hoboken, reached out to friends and neighbors, knocked on doors and talked to strangers on the street. While we have yet to find our cat, we have found an abundance of kindness and selflessness in our community. We have received multiple calls and emails from complete strangers about possible sightings, suggestions of places to search and contact, and many offers for help with our search.
The support of our community has been invaluable. We know if we do someday find Boobie (a short black haired male kitty with a skull and crossbones collar and jingly little bell) we have our community to thank.
