BAYONNE – New York Giant football player Steve Weatherford made good on his promise to take Bayonne High School senior Lauren Delbert to her prom, appearing at the high school red carpet festivities on June 6.
Weatherford, the punter for the Giants and a Super Bowl champion player, posed for pictures with Delbert and her boyfriend, as well as other prom attendees and fans in front of the high school.
Delbert had invited Weatherford to the prom via Twitter in April, and the 31-year-old pro said he would oblige. – Joseph Passantino
