A funeral mass was celebrated May 19 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City, for Gabriel J. Stise, 85, of Smithville, and formerly a lifelong Jersey City resident. He passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16. Gabe retired from Harborside Terminal, Jersey City and was an Army veteran, serving in Korea. He recently enjoyed taking cruises with his wife Angelina, his wife of 61 years. He was the father of Stephen Stise and wife Donna; Judy Ann Connaughton and husband Thomas, Tina Marie Villa and husband Joseph; grandfather of Stephanie, Danielle, Melanie, Nicholas, Erica and Courtney. He was the youngest of 14 siblings, all who predeceased him. Services arranged by the Riotto Funeral Home, Jersey City.
