Time to repair the streets

To the Editor:

I am quite aware that Sandy had a negative impact in Bayonne. Now that the winter is over, it is time for the potholes in our streets to start being repaired. I have not seen one pothole being filled. I drive my car in the town, and see the holes become larger and larger as they do when they are not filled. They also damage the vehicles. Enough damage for the cars. Fix the potholes already! The politicians seemed to forget this tiny detail that can cause thousands of dollars for the car owners who drive in this city.
Regarding the election and pending runoff election. I am sick and tired of the pollsters who harass me by ringing by doorbell or by telephoning me! Haven’t their bosses heard of my constitutional right as an American citizen to have a secret ballot? If they only put half their energy into fixing the potholes, we would be started in the right direction.
Lastly, I am sick of all the mudslinging, while each side claims the other is lying. What is the matter with you people? Haven’t you heard of defamation of character, libel, and slander? If you don’t know what I am talking about, look up Black’s Law Dictionary. There is a free version online. Take legal action for heaven’s sake. Sue the lying party.
All the baloney that has been thrown my way (as an ordinary Bayonne citizen) makes me want to turn vegetarian.
