Funeral services were held May 8 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Hoboken, for Willie L. Pittman, 65. He died May 2 in his Jersey City home with his wife Elizabeth Pittman by his side. Willie, a Vietnam veteran, police officer, and retired firefighter of Hoboken, was loved by many. He was a humble man of his word, who was always willing to help others. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Evans Pittman, mother Eliza Ruth Pittman, a brother, sister, brother in laws, sister in laws, daughters, sons, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, godchildren, a host of friends, relatives, and all of those whom lives he touched.
