Funeral services took place May 7 for John Agathos Jr., 50. He passed away unexpectedly at his Secaucus residence on May 3. Born in Jersey City and a resident of Hoboken for the first ten years of his life, he resided in Secaucus for the past 40 years. He was the former Vice President of Union Local No. 69 Hotel Employees, Restaurant Employees Local No. 4 H.E.R.E. for some 25 years, predominantly overseeing all complexes at the Meadowlands. Mr. Agathos was predeceased by his parents, John Agathos Sr. former president of said union, and his mother, Camille Agathos. Surviving is his sister, Helene Agathos and her two sons Joseph and Michael; as well as his only brother, Anthony Agathos; and a host of cousins. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
