HOBOKEN — The Hoboken Family Alliance is holding its third annual Hoboken Tasting and Gala event on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 from 7 to 10 p.m. at The Kolo Klub, 1422 Grand St. The international flavors of Hoboken will be highlighted through the theme “Around the World in One Square Mile.” Local “worldly” restaurants will provide a signature dish for guests to sample. Featured in the lineup will be: Anthony David’s, Ben & Jerry’s, Cadillac Cantina, Choc O Pain, City Bistro, Clinton Social, Havana, Johnny Pepperoni, Karma Kafe, Littletown NJ, The Madison, ModCup, Old German Bakery, and Pilsner Haus. Part of this fundraiser includes a raffle with prizes including jewelry, beauty treatments, dance, exercise and floral classes, and gift certificates donated by local businesses.

The Hoboken Family Alliance has given over $500,000 back to the community over the past 10 years through grants, college scholarships, and financial donations. The HFA hosts events and programs throughout the year, including holiday parties, a bike camp for children with special needs, a swap meet of new & gently used baby/kids items, and an education forum for school programs and school board candidates. Their mission is to serve and connect the Hoboken community.
