ZAZA, FLORENCE

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Aug. 22 at St. Dominic R.C. Church, Brick Township, for Florence “Dolly” Zaza, 81, of Brick Township. She passed away peacefully on Aug. 18. Born in New York City to the late Charles and Catherine Rizzuto, she was a resident of Hoboken before moving to Brick fifteen years ago. Known as “Dolly”, she was an active parishioner of St. Dominic Church and a devout Catholic. Dolly enjoyed traveling with her husband and children, attending social and church events, and the occasional trip to Atlantic City, most of all; Dotty enjoyed quality time spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers Rosario nad Charles Rizzuto. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Sergio “Sam” Zaza, her children, Dr. Anthony Zaza and wife, Patricia of Wilmington, Del.; Maria Darganand husband John of Bayville; Anna Carroll and husband Robert of Commack, N.Y.; and Sophia Neckler of Lutz, Fla.; her seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her sister Lillian Norton. Services arranged by the O’Brien Funeral Home, Brick Township.
