Funeral services took place July 29 for Margaret (McMahon) Smith, 77. She died July 24 at home in Toms River. Born in West New York, she lived most of her life in Jersey City before moving to Toms River three years ago. She worked as a secretary for the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office for several years before retiring in 1990. She was the wife of the late James “Jigger” Smith; mother of Patricia Hubrich, James Smith, Susan Rooney, Patrick Smith, Brian Smith, Scott Smith, Lauren Schreck and the late Kevin Smith; grandmother of eight, great grandmother of two. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
