To the Editor:
We are responding to the letter in the Wednesday, July 24, edition of the Community News. We, too, live uptown on Kennedy Boulevard, and Joe has been our UPS driver for many years. We agree that Joe is wonderful. We get many deliveries, and Joe always goes out of his way to put the items in a secure place, leaving a note to let us know where they are. He never leaves valuables unattended, just a note informing us of the delivery so that we are home the following day when he returns. This man always has a smile on his face and always asks how we are. If he sees us around the neighborhood, he will give a beep and shout out a hello, calling us by name. He truly has a wonderful, friendly personality. When Joe is on vacation or out sick, he is surely missed.
UPS, you did find a gem in Joe.
