WEEHAWKEN AND BEYOND — The Associated Press reported on Friday that NJ Transit has yanked a driver off his job without pay after a rider made a video of him allegedly masturbating while approaching the toll plaza for the Lincoln Tunnel, and within the tunnel itself.
NJ Transit apologized to riders for the incident.
The driver is 41 and hails from Newark.
The Manhattan librarian who made the video tape told the New York Daily News, “It was disturbing. I was in shock and disbelief.”
The alleged incident happened just before 8 p.m. on June 24.
