Dear Editor:
This morning I had to drop off a check for a good friend, at the tax office inside Hoboken City Hall. Once I walked in I noticed a security screening station was now in place off to the left of the lobby.
After I had taken care of my friends business, I started to make my way to the other side of the lobby to pick up information for a vendor’s permit. I purposely held my friends tax papers and some cash she had given to me should I need it, so the two ‘greeters’ at the screening station would see it. Surely I wouldn’t have to be screened like a ‘common criminal’ just to get information about a permit? Wrong! So, I refused to comply and was unceremoniously told to leave!
