JERSEY CITY — Despite the horrific impact of Hurricane Sandy, a special event will be held this Sunday at 1 p.m., Veterans’ Day, to thank the men and women of the Armed Forces, also including police and firefighters. The organizers are asking the public to bring canned goods or other non-perishable food items to donate to the ongoing volunteer effort at the Barrow Mansion to help victims of Hurricane Sandy.
The event will take place at the Historic Jersey City & Harsimus Cemetery Sunday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m.
