Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen has resumed full operations and is fully staffed, including the Emergency Department, all medical and surgical care units, Pediatrics, Birthing Center and all ancillary departments.
Patients that had been transferred to Hackensack University Medical Center during Hurricane Sandy have been transferred back to Palisades Medical Center for continuation of their care. The patient transfer process and facility evacuation was safely and effectively completed as a result or the collaborative planning and efforts of Palisades Medical Center’s Medical Staff and employees, Hudson County Office of Emergency Management, local police, fire and rescue personnel, North Bergen Mayor Nicholas J. Sacco, and Hackensack University Medical Center. Employees from every department at Palisades Medical Center worked tirelessly through two days to ensure the safety and well being of patients.
