Inventors Hall of Fame to give awards in Hoboken

HOBOKEN — The NJ Inventors Hall of Fame (NJIHoF) Annual Awards banquet will take place on Thursday Oct 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the W Hotel, 225 River St., Hoboken. The event is co-sponsored by Stevens Institute of Technology and Greenberg Traurig, LLP and will honor its 2012 award winners.
This year, the NJIHoF, established in 1987, will present a total of 25 awards to individuals, research teams, and corporations. Of special note this year is an award to Ridgewood High School chemistry teacher Hsuan Lillian Labowsky for her work with students at the school.
Three Nobel Laureates are included among the NJIHoF’s 2012 inductees: Dr. Steven Chu, Dr. Clinton Davisson, and Dr. Irving Langmuir.
