To the Editor:
It is refreshing to see my public officials going the extra nine yards to ensure the safety of the town. Mayor Mark Smith is an ex-police officer who was on the job for 25-plus years. I think he can determine whether or not someone is suspicious. I commend the mayor for going the extra mile for the citizens of Bayonne.
When I grew up in Bayonne, everyone knew everyone, and nobody sat on a street in his or her car in the middle of the night. Thank you, Mayor Smith, for fighting to bring that Bayonne back.
