Funeral services are pending for Charles Peter Monti, 85. He passed away July 7. He was born in Union City to Carls and Eufemia Monti. He was husband to his wife Marion Monti for 60 years and a father to his two daughters, Karen Monti of Hoboken and Lauren Monti of Texas. Charles graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1950, with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree and received a Master’s of Science degree in chemical engineering in 1955. He worked for Texaco as a coordinator of Product Development and Control for 35 years and GOTCO for 3 years in Austria. He was named president of the National Lubricating and Grease Institute in 1981. He is survived by his wife; two daughters; and two grandchildren, Sasha Monti and Carly Jones.
