DE ROSA, WINIFRED

Funeral mass was held July 16 at Our Lady of Victories Church for Winifred ‘Wynne’ De Rosa, 87, affectionately known as ‘Mrs. D’. She died July 12 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Born in Newark, she spent her childhood in Belmar before moving to Jersey City in 1943. During World War II, she worked for a quartermaster as a teletype operator. She was secretary for Nelmor Jewelers, past president of the O.L.V. Library Guild and member of the Rosary Society at O.L.V. and the St. Aloysius Senior Citizens. She was treasurer of the College Little League. She was the wife of the late Frank ‘Mr. D’ De Rosa; mother of Frank, Robert and Anthony and daughter in law Diane; grandmother of Nicole and her husband Richard Adam Troendle, Christine, Dylan, Carly and Alyssa; great grandmother of Alexa Noelle; sister of the late Eileen Gallagher; friend of Barbara Marsh; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
