A funeral service and divine liturgy at SS Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church took place on Sept. 26 for William J. Zarsky, 73, of Garfield, formerly of Secaucus. He passed away Sept. 22. Bill was born in Jersey City and lived in Secaucus for 34 years before moving to Garfield in 2005. Bill was a retired building manager for the Ukrainian National Association in Parsippany. Bill owned the Plank Road Inn in Secaucus for 19 years. He was a devout parishioner of SS Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Jersey City. Bill served in the U.S. Army with the rank of Sergeant. Bill was the husband of 43 years to Barbara; father of Christine and Michael Zarsky; grandfather of Jackson; and also survived by family and many friends.
